Last year over 45,000 entries were submitted by North Dakotans at the state level in the hopes of winning a blue ribbon at the North Dakota State Fair. In 2013, the North Dakota State Fair Association continues to invite past exhibitors and new interest of all ages to compete this year to win the title as one of North Dakota’s Finest.

2013 State Fair Rock Concert Lineup Announced (March 28, 2013) |
Journey and Creedence Clearwater Revisited will rock the Grandstand during the 2013 North Dakota State Fair. Tickets will go on-sale Wednesday, April 10 at 8am.

The North Dakota State Fair Receives 15 International Awards and Best of Show (December 3, 2012) |
The North Dakota State Fair was awarded a total of fifteen first place International Awards in categories including competitive exhibits, agriculture and communications from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) headquartered in Springfield, MO. The Fair was also honored with the title of Best of Show in Communications.

NDSF Annual Meeting a Success (November 19, 2012) |
The 47th annual meeting of the North Dakota State Fair Association took place on Thursday, November 15 in Bismarck, ND. There were 72 delegates and 30 guests in attendance.

Korslien Awarded Fair Manager of the Year (November 12, 2012) |
The Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs has honored North Dakota State Fair Manager Renae Korslien as Fair Manager of the Year. Korslien was honored at the association’s 2012 annual convention in Boise, Idaho.

2012 NDSF Achieves Attendance Record (July 30, 2012) |
(Minot, ND) Leaders of the 2012 North Dakota State Fair were determined not to focus on numbers. The 2010 Fair set the attendance bar high with, 308,641 visitors. And there was no Fair in 2011, with the grounds under more than 10 feet of Mouse River flood. But Fair Manager Renae Korslien need not have worried. A total of 310, 889 people flocked to the Fairgrounds July 20-28, to see a great concert line-up including everything from Kid Rock to Blake Shelton.

North Dakota State Fair Features Nine New Foods (7/16/12) |
(Minot, ND) Enjoying all of North Dakota State Fair’s Great. Big. Fun. is sure to work up an appetite! Fortunately, as any seasoned Fairgoer could tell you, there is no shortage of delicious food on the Midway and 2012 is no different. With 40 food vendors and over a hundred different food items there is sure to be something that appeals to every pallet. The North Dakota State Fair will be expanding its Food Court menu for the 2012 North Dakota State Fair held July 20-28.

Roping in Great. Big. Fun at this year’s Ranch Rodeo Championships (July 2, 2012) |
The State Fair is ropin’ in some Great. Big. Fun. at the fifth annual Ranch Rodeo Championships. This year’s wild action will take place Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26 at 7 pm in the All Seasons Arena. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for juniors (ages 7-12) and 6 & under are free.
