The 4th Annual Hometown Sound Competition is on its way — and in 2026, we’re expanding beyond North Dakota’s borders! We want to hear your “Hometown Sound” and showcase the incredible talent that represents communities across our region.

This competition is dedicated to non-professional musicians ages 16 and up, with finalists competing for a $2,000 grand prize and the opportunity to open for a major Grandstand artist (TBA) on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the North Dakota State Fair.
