North Dakota State Fair Sets New Attendance Record and Wraps Up Another Unforgettable Year

Minot, ND — July 27, 2025 — The 2025 North Dakota State Fair has officially come to a close, capping off nine days of concerts, competitions, community, and unforgettable summer memories — and setting a new all-time attendance record along the way.

This year’s Fair welcomed 356,552 attendees, a 4.12% increase over 2024’s total of 342,430 and just edging past the previous record of 356,534 set in 2023. With enthusiastic crowds across the grounds and strong participation in events throughout the week, it was clear that the 2025 Fair was one for the history books.

From thrilling rides and packed exhibit halls to livestock showcases and pride on display at 4-H and FFA events, the 2025 Fair offered something for everyone. Special days, including Family Day, Military Appreciation Day, Senior Day, 811 Day, KX Co-op Day, and Water Day, all saw great attendance and community engagement.

More standout moments included:

  • A sold-out Jelly Roll performance that brought the house down and set the tone for a week of top-tier Grandstand entertainment
  • High-energy concerts from Turn Up ND featuring Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Bow Wow, and Soulja Boy; Limp Bizkit; Luke Bryan, and more
  • Over 200 entries in the North Dakota State Parade, kicking off the first weekend in grand style
  • A record-setting Run the Route 5K, with 460 participants, an 8% increase over last year
  • Full audiences at free stages, events, and competitions throughout the fairgrounds
  • Strong crowds turned out for the Ranch Rodeo on Wednesday and Thursday, making it one of many well-attended events of the week.
  • The exciting debut of the Battle of the Rumblehorn, showcasing bull riding and American freestyle bullfighting
  • Hometown pride at the Hometown Sound competition, won by Mendenhall Crossing
  • Family favorites like the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, demolition derby, and countless midway attractions
  • A wide variety of delicious food, unique vendors, and entertainment on every corner

“Each year, the Fair reflects the spirit and energy of our state, and this year was no exception,” said Craig Rudland, General Manager of the North Dakota State Fair. “We’re grateful to everyone who came out, whether to perform, compete, volunteer, or just enjoy a day at the Fair. It’s a true community effort, and we couldn’t do it without you.”

As the team wraps up another successful season, planning is already underway for the 2026 Fair, including the release of the first artist on the Grandstand Showpass, Zach Top, on Thursday, July 23, 2026.  Mark your calendars—next year’s North Dakota State Fair will be held July 17–25, 2026.
