MINOT, N.D. – Pride of Dakota Day welcomed fairgoers to the North Dakota State Fair on Monday, July 20th, for a celebration of North Dakota-made products, local businesses, and the people who help drive the state’s economy.
A longstanding tradition at the North Dakota State Fair, Pride of Dakota Day offered visitors the opportunity to experience the best of North Dakota while connecting directly with businesses from across the state. The event drew an outstanding turnout as guests gathered under the SRT Park Festival Tent to enjoy a $1 Pride of Dakota lunch, with all proceeds benefiting the North Dakota FFA Foundation.
The lunch featured products from Pride of Dakota member businesses, including Cloverdale Hot Dogs, Bones BBQ Mustard, Northland Potato Growers chips, cookies from Memories of Home by Becky, and milk from Cass Clay, showcasing the quality and diversity of products proudly made in North Dakota.
Throughout the day, fairgoers also received $2,000 in Pride of Dakota Bucks, which could be redeemed with participating Pride of Dakota vendors throughout the fairgrounds. The promotion encouraged guests to discover new businesses while supporting North Dakota entrepreneurs.
Established in 1985 by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, Pride of Dakota has grown from approximately 20 member companies to more than 500 member businesses representing food and beverage companies, manufacturers, artisans, publishers, retailers, service providers, and more. The program continues to provide marketing opportunities and business development resources while promoting products proudly made in North Dakota.
Visitors were also encouraged to explore the Agriculture Acre, located inside Magic Place in the State Fair Center. Hosted by Pride of Dakota, the Agriculture Acre offers interactive exhibits, educational demonstrations, and shopping opportunities that connect consumers with North Dakota agriculture and locally produced products.
